Pre-employment screening is available, including selective examinations of the low back and of carpal tunnel syndrome. We offer on-site nerve testing, x-rays, DXA and ultrasound diagnostic imaging.

Injured-worker evaluation and triage:  The staff at Advanced Orthopedic Clinic takes pride in providing first class care of your injured worker.  Through efficient use of our special relationships with quality service providers we minimize TTD and reduce expenses. If surgical treatment is indicated, AOC will arrange timely referral to the best surgeon for that particular injury. Following the operation, we can coordinate a comprehensive post-op rehab/work hardening program that assures you efficient use of company resources and provides your employee the most favorable outcome.

Consider this scenario, and compare it with your current system.

Your injured employee is seen in the emergency room, possibly undergoes surgery, and immediately follows up at Advanced Orthopedic Clinic. Or, if the injury is not too serious, the worker is seen directly at our AOC office on an emergency basis that same day or the next morning. This permits prompt, thorough evaluation with the newest diagnostic imaging systems and treatment. If specialized testing is required (MRI or CT) expedited scheduling occurs. AOC has special arrangements with local premium providers to accommodate your worker far faster than through other health care facilities. AOC then coordinates therapy, rehab and work hardening and expedites your employee feeling adequately treated and prepared for work.

A Scenario:

It has been the experience of Dr. Miller that the injured worker seeks an attorney when he perceives he has received inadequate care and was returned to work prematurely. Often this problem arises, not as the fault of the employer, but from the failings of our inefficient health-care delivery system. Other times, miscommunications between employer / HR staff and the injured worker lead to calling an attorney.  Dr. Miller often resolves these misunderstandings by ordering proper treatment, placing a few phone calls and arbitrating differences. This saves the company expensive litigation and helps the employee.

Another scenario:

Let us assume your worker is really distressed and seeks the services of an attorney. Dr. Miller has a long history of being a “straight shooter” ---meaning fair and impartial when dealing with employer, insurer, the worker and his attorney.
