Onsite orthopedic neurology evaluations are possible through use of EMG and nerve conduction equipment. This the unit is capable of testing for carpal tunnel and cubital tunnel syndrome as well as cervical and LS radiculopathy. A special capability includes a protocol fore evaluating the often-missed diabetic peripheral neuropathy. The test interpretation can be viewed on your CRT within one day or by fax or mail within two days.
A new diagnostic ultrasound unit permits timely, less expensive evaluation of your patient’s joint disorders. For example, shoulder rotator cuff disorders are conveniently imaged within minutes and you get the report shortly thereafter.
AOC can lighten your burden of medico-legal cases. This might include dealing with worker’s compensation, soft tissue MVA injuries, disability-impairment ratings, and third party liability cases. Refer your patients for their orthopedic condition and we’ll take care of the medical reports, depositions and trial testimony. In the meantime, you are freed of this legal nuisance while you continue to manage their medical conditions.
As noted in other sections of this web site, AOC is prepared to coordinate acute treatment and rehab with employers, insurance carriers, the injured worker and his attorney. The ultimate goal is to return the injured employee back to work in a pain-free and timely fashion. And you remain PCP-FMD.

If one of the patients you referred to AOC needs surgical intervention, you will be contacted for your preference of surgeon. At your discretion referral can be made to a local surgeon, or the staff at SLU, Wash. U, or West / South STL County. AOC makes every effort to assure that the patient will return to your practice.
